At 17:30 on November 7th, the preliminary contest of the 14th "Thought Cup" Debate Competition of College of Animal Science was held in Room 109, Jingxin Teaching Building, Central Campus. This activity was organized by the Learning Service Department of the Student Union. Members of the debate team of Grade 2020 served as judges.
Opposite tables and chairs, bright name tags, handwriting on scratch paper... This will be a logical thinking exchange, a language struggle. A total of six teams participated in the preliminary round of the debate. They will face off against each other, and the final four winning teams will advance to the next round based on their overall ranking. Firstof all, the host made a brief introduction to the three groups of debates: "Is the popularity of short video a reflection of cultural scarcity or cultural richness", "life is happy or sad because it can be renewed", "Love should be emotional or rational", and then announced the formal start of the debate.
The first debate began with Jiang Yuying explaining the views of the two sides. In the competition, the debaters came and went, and both sides fought hard. Although it was the first time for each contestant to participate in the competition, they all performed very well and skillfully.
After a short rest, the second game began. Both debaters were clearly well prepared, and their efforts off the court were evident between attacks and debates. The main debaters are very good at each other. Hu Linrui's elaboration was exquisite and sharp. While summarizing her own point of view, she cleverly attacked the weak links of the other side. Opponents also not to be outdone, citing classics, extensive quotations, for the main argument continued to supplement the material.
The last group of contestants was so evenly matched that the debate was particularly heated. In the process of attack and debate, both sides are keen to capture the details of the other side, carry out the offensive, and consolidate their positions with examples in life, showing excellent debating skills. The judges scores respectively, scored the total score ranked in the top four "heard that name longer more easily into the final" team, "saidwhat what all right", "yeah" and "westward journey" teams managed to get into the semi-finalssemifinals.
At this point, the 14th Preliminary Contest ofthe "Thinking Cup" Debate Competition of the College of Animal Science came to an end. The debaters improved their logical thinking ability, language expression skills and improvisational ability through this competition, and showed their quick thinking and knowledgeable style.
