To help students of the school have an in-depth understanding of the issues related to postgraduate education, we provide professional guidance to students who are interested in postgraduate education. At 7 pm on March 31, 2022, the College of Animal Science held an experience-sharing meeting on research conservation with the theme of "Gathering Light, Building Dream and Sailing" at the Tencent Conference. This sharing session invited 7 students from the class of 2017 and 2018 who were successfully admitted to Peking Union Medical College, Westlake University, Zhejiang University and other universities as keynote speakers. College students of all grades and student counselor Yin Xuanqi participated in the meeting.

After a brief introduction by the host, the seven students began to share their experience with the students in turn. Liu Xinmiao, who was admitted to Peking Union Medical College, took the time axis as the frame to tell the students the specific process of materials preparation, summer camp application, contact with the tutor and other steps of postgraduate education as well as relevant matters needing attention. Wang Wentao, who has been admitted to Westlake University, suggested that students should have solid professional knowledge and be familiar with all the professional knowledge points that may be involved in their research experience. Prepare accordingly. Tian Na, who was admitted to the Pasteur Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, reminded us to pay attention to the information collection of postgraduate admission. She stressed that postgraduate admission is an information war, and prospective postgraduate students should collect information on the official website of the university, such as the enrollment of the target college, the status of the summer camp and the research direction of the supervisor. Xu Lingyao, who was admitted to Zhejiang University, gave a detailed account of the problems she might encounter in the interview based on her own experience. She emphasized that she should have a good attitude and be flexible in the interview. As a representative of the graduate school of Jilin University, Gao Xun, from the class of 2018, carefully analyzed the qualifications of the graduate school of Jilin University, the difficulty of the interview, the written examination and the key points of review. He pointed out that time should not be spent in meaningless entanglements and self-doubt but should maximize the benefits of limited time and achieve a clear target. In the end, Chen Junbo and He Song stressed to the students that postgraduate study and life should not only have excellent academic skills but also good interpersonal and communication skills to lay a solid foundation for their academic road.

In the interactive communication session, students actively asked questions about the influence of CET-4 and CET-6 scores on postgraduate admission, recommendation letter writing and other related links. Seven speakers gave clear answers. Finally, with the sincere thanks of students, the postgraduate admission experience sharing meeting was successfully concluded.

This experience-sharing meeting aims to give full play to the leading role of example so that the students of Grade 2019 can establish a clearer understanding and clear future goals on the recommendation of postgraduate education and provide valuable experience to lay a solid foundation for their future development. At the same time, it also helps guide students in lower grades to reasonably plan their academic careers.
