Title: studyStudy on intestinal flora in promoting thegrowth of pigs and research and development of probiotics.
Speaker: Dr. Wang Xiaofan.
Hours: 14:00, Monday, November 8, 2021.
Ground point: conference room on the first floor of the College of Animal Sciences.
About the speaker: Dr. Wang Xiaofan has worked as a postdoctoral fellow in Zhao Jiangchao Laboratory, Department of Animal Science, University of Arkansas since 2019, in the research and development of pig nutrition, intestinal microorganisms and probiotics. In this study, genomic techniques and bioinformatics methods such as whole genome, metagenome, metabolic group and culture group analyseswere mainly used to reveal the relationship between intestinal microecology and growth traits in pigs. Remarkable achievements have been made in the research and development of probiotics, and the three isolated strains were identified as probiotic products with a breakthrough in stability and probiotic effect, and one international patent was obtained. theThe established probiotic identification and isolation strategy hasa broad application prospectprospects in the field of porcine probiotics and has been widely praised and concernedstudied in theindustry.
Dr. Wang Xiaofan has published a number of academic papers in the internationally renowned journals Microbiome and mSystems, and co-authoredcoauthored the book Improvinggutfunctioninpoultry.
