On Sept 28, the opening ceremony for the Class of 2021 of Jilin University was held at the central campus. The 2021 undergraduate students of the College of Animal Science watched the opening ceremony in the branch hall of the Jingxin Teaching Building, and 10 of them watched the ceremony live in the main hall of Song Zhiping Gymnasium. Jianrong Xiao, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee of the College, and Sun Hao, the head teacher of Class 852102, on behalf of the college leaders, watched the ceremony with the freshmen.
The opening ceremony of 2021 freshmen of Jilin University began with the loud national anthem. He said, "I believe that the best way to achieve the future is to create it. I hope that by then, you will all have the qualities and capabilities needed to build a community with a shared future for mankind and become qualified socialist builders and successors." Next, representatives of undergraduate freshmen, graduate freshmen, student representatives, faculty representatives, graduate representatives, etc., delivered speeches and sent their best wishes to the freshmen. At the end of the ceremony, all the teachers and students stood up and sang the school song of Jilin University. With the melody of the school song, the opening ceremony came to a successful end. The 2021 freshmen of the College of Animal Science started a new chapter in their college life.
After the ceremony, Jianrong Xiao delivered a speech expressing her warm welcome to the new students on behalf of all the teachers and students of the school. She hoped that the students would not only go into Kedah and know Kedah but also go deeper into the college and know the animal science major.
