At 12:30 on September 12, 2021, the 26th Student Congress of Jilin University was held ceremoniously. The conference will be held in the form of network video. The main venue will be in the Multimedia Function Hall on the fourth floor of Dingxin Library. All delegations will attend the conference in the subvenue. The 18th delegation comprising the School of Food Science and Engineering, the School of Veterinary Medicine, the School of Plant Science and the School of Animal Science attended the meeting in the conference room on the first floor of the School of Animal Science, Heping Campus and held a subgroup meeting.
The members of the 18th delegation listened carefully to the relevant work report and documentation of the conference. In the subleague meeting, the members of the delegation expressed their opinions freely and expressed their opinions on such documents as "Report on the Work of the 25th Student Union of Jilin University", "Report on the Proposal of the 20th Student Congress of Jilin University", "List of Permanent Representatives of the 26th Student Congress of Jilin University", "Election Method of the 26th Presidium of Jilin University (Draft)" and so on. Among them, Wang Jiao, Yifan Zhang and Lingling Qiu, who majored in animal science in 2019, were elected as the standing representatives of the 26th Student Congress of Jilin University. During the election of the presidium of the 26th Student Union, the members of the delegation carefully listened to the speeches of the 6 candidates, and after careful consideration, they cast their precious votes.
The conference ended with the solemn song of the Communist Youth League of China. Student congresses are mass organizations on behalf of students. It is the bridge and link between the school and the students. It is one of the basic forms of democratic management and supervision of the school, and it is the authority for students to participate in democratic management. In future work, the College of Animal Science will continue to focus on this work, further promote the reform of our student organization, and further improve the student congress system.
After the meeting, three representatives from our institute were deeply inspired and expressed their impressions on the meeting.
1. Zijiao Wang: This conference provides an important channel for students to give advice and suggestions, which makes me feel the school's concern for students' life and study. As a member of the Student Union of the college, I should always put the interests of students in the first place, think what the students want, worry about what the students are anxious about, truly do practical things for the students, do good things, assume the due responsibility.
2. Yifan Zhang: By attending this conference, I have a comprehensive understanding of the work done by the Student Union in the past year, which also provides inspiration and ideas for me to carry out student work in the college in the future. Let me the most amazing is that the six candidates for the presidium to serve the students at the same time, can well take into account the study, become our generation struggle model.
3. Lingling Qiu: What impresses me most about this conference is the school experience of the candidates for the presidium of the Student Union. In addition to taking on much student work, they are still at the top of the student rankings, receiving many scholarships and other honors. Through this meeting, I saw my own shortcomings, I will take them as an example, learn from each other, while doing a good job as a student, strive to achieve more excellent academic performance.
